Job Description

HOF Capital is a global multi-stage venture capital (VC) firm that partners with the world's best founders and helps them build generational category-defining technology companies. Since launching its first fund in 2016, the firm has invested in some of the most successful technology startups of the past decade (e.g., SpaceX, OpenAI, Neuralink, Anthropic, xAI, etc.) and achieved top-tier investment performance throughout its history, which has enabled the firm to grow rapidly to $4B+ of assets under management (AUM).

Due to this rapid growth, HOF Capital is seeking an A+ player to join its early-stage VC investment team. This VC Analyst will learn from and work directly with the firm's Partners to execute all aspects of the VC investment & portfolio management process, including sourcing new investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and providing portfolio companies with post-investment support. If successful, this VC Analyst will have the opportunity to become a long-term member of the firm's investment team with a path to eventually becoming a Partner at the firm.

Minimum qualifications:

  • 0 - 2 years of previous work experience as a startup founder, VC/PE investor, engineer, product manager, investment banker, management consultant, hedge fund investor, and/or quant trader.
  • Graduated from or currently enrolled at a top-tier university.
  • Experience building software applications/infrastructure and/or AI/ML models.
  • Excellent professional & academic performance.
  • Independent thinker with outstanding intellectual & analytical aptitude.
  • Extremely capable, disciplined, responsible, hard-working, detail-oriented, conscientious, and self-motivated.
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Team player with no ego.
  • Innate desire to become the best.
  • Genuine passion for finding, investing in, & supporting technology startups that have the potential to become generational category-defining companies.

The ideal candidate should be excited to:

  • Do whatever is needed to help HOF Capital and its portfolio companies become leaders in their industries.
  • Build strong relationships throughout the technology, VC, & startup ecosystem in order to help HOF Capital identify promising new founders & startups as early in their journeys as possible.
  • Develop deep domain expertise in the technologies & business models within HOF Capital’s areas of interest (e.g., AI, software, deep tech, etc.).
  • Play an important role in evaluating investment opportunities (e.g., leading due diligence meetings with founders, conducting expert calls & reference checks, evaluating products & technologies, researching markets & competition, verifying assumptions & claims, etc.).
  • Help HOF Capital's portfolio companies become as successful as possible, no matter what it takes.
  • Work with other HOF Capital team members to ensure the success of other firm-wide initiatives.

Compensation:
