The Model Maker I will work with various composite and 3D printed materials and maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition. The Model Maker I will be mentored and supported by team members on project work and customer interactions.

As a Model Maker I, you will be responsible for:

  • Surfacing parts and fitting components for assemblies
  • Developing composite tooling and molds
  • Creating foam plank build-ups
  • Laminating with epoxy resins and carbon composites
  • Participating in vac-form disciplines
  • Operating shop equipment, including hand tools, and performing preventive maintenance
  • Participating in daily shop organization and clean-up

To be considered as a Model Maker I you will need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical ability and ability to operate shop equipment
  • Good attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Own hand and air tools with toolbox
  • Ability to read, comprehend and execute written and verbal instructions

A successful candidate may also have:

  • Certificate in Autobody, Automotive Technology or related
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work overtime as needed including weekend
