Human Resources Assistant Location New Orleans, LA :

We are a growing, professional office located in vibrant New Orleans, LA, seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Human Resources Assistant to support our HR department with day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the recruitment process by posting job ads, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases
• Prepare onboarding materials and coordinate orientation sessions for new hires
• Support payroll and benefits administration as needed
• Handle confidential employee information with discretion
• Respond to general HR-related inquiries from employees and direct them appropriately
• Assist in organizing employee engagement events and trainings
• Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in HR or related field preferred
• 1+ year of administrative or HR support experience (internships count!)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
