Job Description

We are hiring an EHS Officer for a construction contractor.

LOCATION: Carolina, PR
WORK SCHEDULE: Exempt position, Monday to Friday 8 am - 5 pm, with availability for overtime or weekends if needed.
SALARY: $23 p/h.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:
- Ensuring the project adheres to all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards.
- Identifying potential hazards and risks associated with the manufacturing process and developing strategies to mitigate them.
- Developing and implementing safety protocols, procedures, and training programs to ensure a safe working environment.
- Implementing measures to minimize the environmental impact of the manufacturing project, including waste management and pollution prevention.
- Ensuring safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Developing and coordinating emergency response plans to address potential incidents.
- Conducting regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in EHS, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering or similar.
- OSHA Certifications (Preferred).
- Knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.
- Risk assessment and management skills.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (Preferred).
- Bilingual.
