The Happiness Coordinator is responsible for all things FUN at the Branch, coordinating and providing engaging and purpose-filled events and activities. This position offers a full suite of benefits options that vary based on employment status. Responsibilities & Qualifications Responsibilities: - Plan and implement activities in the following categories: physical (exercise), social, recreational, intellectual/educational, creative, entertainment, and special requests of the residents.
- Conduct/lead activities as needed.
- Develop activities according to residents’ lifestyle choices.
- Invite and/or remind residents to participate in planned activities.
- Chaperone activities outside the community.
- Operate a Bickford vehicle to transport residents to activities where applicable.
- Train, support, and instruct other team members to conduct activities.
- Develop a Monthly Activity Calendar that incorporates activities 7 days per week and includes evening and weekend activities.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement decoration of the community for special events, seasons and holidays.
- Coordinate food needs for scheduled activities with the kitchen.
- Operate activity program within Branch budget guidelines.
Qualifications: - High-school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in recreation or other health care related field preferred.
- A Certification in Assisted Living Activities is preferred but required.
- Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel), with the ability to learn new applications.
- Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication.
- Competent in organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- A valid driver’s license and a driving record consistent with Bickford’s insurance carrier guidelines.
